Guided hikes
Tom takes you with him
You can hike with us five days a week, according to our activity programme. Our certified hiking guide Tom Radinger knows Alpbach like the back of his hand and will show you the most beautiful places on guided hikes. In fun company, you will discover the beauty of our region, across alpine pastures and meadows, up to the summit cross and past crystal-clear fountains with drinking water.
Every Monday at the “Wanderstammtisch”, Tom informs you about the planned weekly programme. Here you can get personalised advice on which hiking destination suits you best – whether you want to join the guided tours or explore the hiking trails on your own. Numerous guided hikes are also described in detail in the Guestfriend app. Simply download it and you’ll be well informed straight away. The Alpbachtal Tourism Association also offers guided hikes free of charge. You can find the programme at the hotel entrance or online here.
For guided hikes, please register at reception by the day before. You can find all further information in the weekly programme.
Further tips on hiking
A comprehensive hiking folder is available for you at reception, in which all the hiking routes are summarised and described for you.
Hikes in Alpbachtal, Tyrol
The choice is yours: numerous mountain, themed and family hikes lie at your feet. Some of them are child’s play, others are adventurous and challenging. We have listed some of the highlights for you here.
Panorama trail
The panoramic trail on the Wiedersbergerhorn truly deserves its name, because no matter which direction you hike on the circular trail, you will have fantastic views of the surrounding valleys in front of you. The detour to the summit, which is also easily accessible for children, is well worth the climb.
Ornamental lake
Via Anderl’s Hütte and the Rosskogelsattel saddle, the route leads to the natural jewel of Lake Ziereiner See, where the impressive mountain panorama invites you to take a breather and enjoy the views. Lake Ziereiner See is a scenic highlight in the Rofan mountains, as the lake changes colour depending on the weather and, according to legend, the water contains gold.
Clamps
Hikes through the Kaiserklamm, Tiefenbachklamm or Kundler Klamm gorges, where visitors can travel part of the way on a slow train, are a special experience. Be enchanted by the bizarre rock formations and the power of the water that has created works of stone art here over the centuries.
Eagle Walk
The long-distance hiking trail leads through the whole of Tyrol and also through the Alpbach Valley. The routes in our region are ideal for families with children as they are easy to manage and you can only walk part of the day’s tour. Young and old are offered a varied mountain experience.
Local history trail
You can gain an insight into our history by hiking along the Alpbacher Heimatkundeweg. The trail leads right past the Alpbacherhof and is ideal for family hikes. There is a playground and a small Kneipp facility along the way where you can refresh your feet.
Juppi Enchanted Forest
Very popular: the Juppi Zauberwald family circular hiking trail. No wonder, as the hiking trail offers a great forest puzzle along the way, marvellous views of the Alpbach and Inn valleys, a playground and a petting zoo. Fun for the whole family. And: the trail is suitable for pushchairs!
