Climbing in Alpbachtal

Around our hotel in Tyrol we present you some tips where you can climb well – depending on your level and mood. Have fun climbing!

CLIMBING AT REINTALERSEE

For those who know the ropes; 2 routes with a rope length of 250 m. Through the woods from the bus stop to the roping-up point and on to the start. Our tip: Take a detour to the beautiful waterfall shortly before the entrance to recharge your batteries and enjoy the view.

Hochseilgarten Kramsach

Built in the forest across 8,500m² this high-wire construction covers over 7km with 50 platforms and three different courses. The „Mammut Tour“ for the advanced, the „Adler Tour“ for intermediate, and the „Flying-Fox Tour for families.

CLIMBING WALL REITH

In the next village down towards the valley the local school opens the doors for guests to enjoy their climbing wall in the gymnasium. Evenings, winter, or bad weather days, you can be challenged, learn or practise from 1 of 20 different routes all graded at different levels.

„As a professional climber, that’s the question you always get: why, why, why? It’s an ineffable thing; you can’t describe it“ – Jimmy Chin

So much to do in Alpbachtal. Paragliding, white water rafting, kayaking, archery, and the largest skate park in Europe, „The Cradle“ in Brixlegg. Then there is GEOCACHING. A scavenger hunt with GPS where you will find exciting routes scattered throughout the region, which allow you to go on a digital discovery tour with tricky tasks. All you need is a GPS-enabled smartphone, some time and – of course – brains! Go on Juppi’s treasure hunt, the Alpbach Heimatweg, or get to the bottom of the legend of the Berglsteinersee! Alpbachtal is truly a fabulous destination.
