At Reception, we have our own detailed, printed choice of local hikes. Take your time to choose from the range the Alpbachtal has to offer.

“Climb the mountain not to plant your flag, but to embrace the challenge, enjoy the air and behold the view. Climb it so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.” – David McCullough Jr.

HIKING IN ALPBACHTAL, TYROL

Something for everyone: the spectacular mountain ranges, themed and family walks and natural wonders. From easy and family friendly to adventureous and challenging; every step a delight.
Here are some of the highlights:

Panoramaweg

The Panorama Trail on the Wiedersbergerhorn truly deserves its name, because no matter in which direction you hike on the circular trail, you will have fantastic views of the surrounding valleys in front everywhere. There is a path to the cross on the peak that most, including children, will find exhilirating.

Ziereiner See

Start in Kramsach by the old lift station „Sonnwendjochbahn“ and follow the old lift path, then go to the „Klosteralm“ and on to the „Hochalm“. Just before the „Hochalm“ is a path leading up to the „Sonnwendjochhaus“. The green-turquoise shimmering waters of the Zierreiner See are embedded in the natural moutain ranges of the Rofan. c

GORGES

We have three spectacular examples in our region: the „Kaiserklamm“, the „Tiefenbachklamm“ and the „Kundlerklamm“, where families can enjoy part of the route on the „Bummelzug“. Let yourself be enchanted by the power of the water, which has created stone works of art here over centuries.

HIKING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Adlerweg

The Adlerweg runs through the whole length of Tyrol, from east to west. The trail is broken up into 33 stages accommodating a variety of skill levels . The routes are ideal for families with children, because they are easy to manage.

Heimatkundeweg

Walking the Alpbach „Heimatweg“ is an introduction to our history and traditions. The path goes past our front door and is suitable for everyone. On the tour you will find a childrens‘ playground and a „Kneipp“ water way.

Juppi Zauberwald

A family favourite:
the encircling path of the Juppi Zauberwald at the top of the „Reitherkögl“. Filled with adventure, a forest quiz, exhilirating views across the valleys, a playground and a petting zoo.
