Museum of Tyrolean Farms

A visit to the past: find out how farmers lived and worked in times gone by. 14 original farms from the various valleys can be visited in Tyrol’s largest open-air museum in Kramsach. Distance from the Alpbacherhof: approx. 25 minutes by car

 

Alpbach Mountain Farm Museum

You can find out how craftsmen and mountain farmers used to live in the old “Vorder-Unterberg” farmhouse in Inneralpbach. The farm was inhabited until 1952 and is home to around 800 utensils and furnishings from rural life at the time, as well as some animal inhabitants. Distance from the Alpbacherhof: approx. 7 minutes by car

Augustinian Museum

Sacred Tyrolean art treasures from 9 centuries are housed in the Augustinian Museum in Rattenberg, exhibited in the time-honoured rooms of the former Servite monastery dating back to 138. Distance from the Alpbacherhof: approx. 18 minutes by car

Museum cemetery Tyrol

There are bizarre things to discover at the museum cemetery. Funny epitaphs make you smile. And you can laugh here, because after all, there are no dead bodies buried here.  Distance from the Alpbacherhof: approx. 16 minutes by car

Tratzberg Castle

The Renaissance jewel among Austria’s castles: a magnificently painted inner courtyard or the Habsburg Hall with a unique 46 metre-long mural are well worth a visit to the castle in Jenbach. Guided tours for children with real knights and the castle ghost Tratzi make this excursion destination fun and exciting for the little ones. Distance from the Alpbacherhof: approx. 30 minutes by car
