We have the beauty of nature on our doorstep and before our eyes every day. And we want to preserve that. For the generations and guests of the next 100 years. That's why we work respectfully and sustainably with nature's resources and our employees.

The love of nature, the warm Tyrolean hospitality and the appreciation of the beautiful and small things - this is what makes the Alpbacherhof a special place for your holiday. A precious retreat where you can discover the power of nature in every corner.

The interior is made from local woods and natural materials. In the kitchen, we use almost exclusively regional products from local farmers and suppliers that are seasonal, fairly produced and have short transport routes. And herbs from our own garden. Only natural cosmetics are used in the beauty area. And in everyday hotel life, we integrate a resource-conserving approach or sustainable alternatives wherever possible - whether for cleaning products or waste separation.

Culinary delights

Regional & seasonal

For us, “conscious enjoyment” goes far beyond fine dining. It also stands for responsible indulgence. When it comes to ingredients, we attach great importance to sourcing them from local farmers and from species-appropriate animal husbandry. We source fruit and vegetables from the region and mainly use seasonal produce. We are also proud of our home-grown produce – from fruity breakfast jams to the aromatic variety of herbs from our garden.

The power of nature

We believe in the power of nature. That’s why we work exclusively with natural cosmetics. Alongside regional Tyrolean stone oil products, we pamper you with soothing cosmetic lines from Ebenholz, Alpienne and BALANCE ALPINE 1000+. Our treatments are inspired by the natural elements of fire, water, earth and air. And there is one more thing worth mentioning: the water here in Alpbachtal is exceptional – its outstanding quality has been scientifically confirmed by the Seibersdorf Research Centre.

E-mobility & arrival

Travelling without car

Arriving by public transport? For stays of three nights or more, we’ll gladly pick you up from the train station in Brixlegg or Jenbach – and bring you back again, free of charge. A car is not necessary during your holiday in the Alpbachtal – you can use the Regiobus free of charge with the Alpbachtal Card and you can discover nature by bike or on foot. We are happy to provide mountain bikes and e-bikes. Travelling by electric car is no problem: the Alpbacherhof has two e-charging stations that can be used to charge vehicles directly at the hotel.

Sustainability is at the heart of our hotel. Wherever possible, we use locally sourced natural materials, partner with local producers, and empower our employees to act sustainably every day. To keep our carbon footprint small, we pay attention to plastic avoidance, correct waste separation, environmentally friendly room cleaning and digitalisation in everyday hotel life.

In the garden

The 7,000 m² “Natur.Juwel” panoramic meadow belongs to our hotel. With additional retreat options for our guests, it blends perfectly into the natural scenery of the Alpbach Valley. A natural, colourful flower meadow, which is kept pesticide-free and only mowed after flowering, extends around a landscaped walkway, native fruit trees, lovingly laid out raised beds and a large herb snail. In this way, we ensure the preservation and propagation of flowers and grasses and provide a natural habitat for bees.

The fact that we love and want to preserve our environment and the nature around the Alpbacherhof should not only be noticeable, but also visible! That is why we are proud to have been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel by the Federal Ministry for the Environment. With this award, we undertake to comply with many strict criteria and to take on ecological and social responsibility together. This is monitored by independent bodies. It is not only the well-being of the environment that is important to us, but also that of our guests and employees. See for yourself.
